About Marco Jørgensen

I'm Marco Birkedahl Jørgensen, an archaeology student passionate about understanding ancient landscapes and human movement patterns. My work combines traditional archaeological methods with cutting-edge GIS technology and computational analysis.

My research focuses on landscape archaeology, with a specific emphasis on computational methods and spatial analysis. I am highly interested in how environmental archaeology, paleoenvironmental reconstruction, and human behavioral ecology can be used to better understand past human-environment dynamics. By applying remote sensing—particularly LiDAR—alongside advanced spatial analysis and statistical tools, I aim to uncover how past societies actively interacted with and shaped their landscapes.
